How Should I Approach Topics of Spirituality?
Write about your own faith journey. In any culture, people respond best to what has been proven real in an individual's life.

Pray for your sponsored child. If your sponsored child is a Christian, they will be pleased to know you are praying for them. In any case, please be sensitive to your sponsored child's age, background and spiritual maturity. Keep in mind that your sponsored child may not be a Christian.

Be sensitive to the religious beliefs of your sponsored child's community. Some Mission of Mercy projects are located in areas where it is dangerous to openly share the gospel message. If your sponsored child lives in such an area, an extra sheet of guidelines will be included in your Welcome Packet.
