Holistic Child Development through Sponsorship
Our Philosophy. At Mission of Mercy, we recognize that holistic ministry has the greatest impact on a child's development. Because Jesus came to earth as a whole person, our work with children in our sponsorship program speaks to the whole child.

Spiritual Development. Who created me? Why am I here? What happens when I die? These are the questions children ask as their awareness of God develops and matures. Our desire is to introduce each of the sponsored children enrolled in our program to Jesus and to encourage each believer in their relationship with Christ.

Physical Development. As children grow, they experience changes in body size, brain development, perceptual abilities, coordination and physical health. Adequate nutrition, health checks and medical treatment are an important part of our sponsored child program. In addition, we believe it is just as important to help sponsored children form healthy habits, develop an active lifestyle, and maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
Social and Emotional Development. Learning to solve problems, cooperate and share with others is an important part of childhood. We also encourage each sponsored child to develop 'emotional intelligence,' which predicts success in relationships, school and job performance.
Mental Development. In order to adapt to change and solve everyday problems, children must be able to communicate effectively. They need opportunities for training in job-related skills and acquisition of basic knowledge. Our goals are to help sponsored children become lifelong learners, to give them the confidence to try new activities, to impart to them the skills to make good choices, and to encourage them to use their giftedness to meet their economic needs.
