WGTS Radio Mission Trip to Swaziland, August 12-22, 2010

Get ready world travelers. This summer embark on a journey to the country of Swaziland in Southern Africa to meet the children who will be forever changed by your love and attention. Listeners of WGTS in Washington D.C. are invited to participate in this opportunity to become the ambassadors of Christ to a country ravaged by poverty and disease.
TRIP OBJECTIVES: Many of the children who attend Mercy Centers in Swaziland are AIDS orphans and all of them are living in extremely poor environments, devoid of hope for a bright future. Your objectives on this trip are to improve the facilities at several Mercy Centers through light construction projects which will help staff to better care for these children. In addition, you will work with the team to create activities for the children and conduct a vacation bible school at the Centers. Finally you will attend a church and participate in worship and fellowship with fellow Swazi believers. To top it off, you will spend a day at a game park where you will see the exotic animals you have always associated with Africa. These Centers are in need of help to complete these projects and when you see what has been accomplished, you will see the hope, love, and compassion you have offered to the future generation of this small African country.

DATE: August 12-22, 2010
COST: $2,850
APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 24, 2010. The application must be faxed to Mission of Mercy, at (719)-481-4649 by March 24 at 5:30pm or postmarked on or before March 22 along with a $500 deposit to be considered. Be sure to hurry as this trip is limited to 40 people and the application period will close when the trip reaches capacity!
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
$500 Due with application on March 24, 2010
$600 Due by April 21
$600 Due by May 19
$1150 Final Payment due June 16- Includes: all meals, accommodations, flights, transportation, and gratuities
- Excludes: meals in transit to and from Swaziland, souvenirs, and elective entertainment
ORIENTATION: June 19th. (time and place still TBD) Orientation is required for everyone attending the trip unless you have discussed your absence with Mission of Mercy staff or Radio station staff.
ACCOMODATIONS: Mountain Inn
AGE LIMIT: 14 years of age and older; unless approved by Mission of Mercy staff.

PLEASE NOTE: Valid US passport is required for travel. The traveler is responsible for seeking medical advice concerning updating your immunizations. Further information on medical and safety preparations for the trip will be provided following approval of each traveler's application
