Welcome future participants of the KSLT, KLMP, 97.9"The Point", WPFF and WNLI Radio Mission Trip to Nairobi, Kenya. You read that correctly, 5 radio stations, 2 regions, one destination - Kenya, Africa!
On June 5th, a team of 50 fellow believers (25 from each region) from Rapid City, South Dakota and Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin will join together in one mission, to reach out to children in need in Africa. How you ask? This mission of mercy will require you to get dirty, get creative, and get spiritual.
TRIP OBJECTIVES: Shortly after arrival you will visit a home for abandoned babies to pray over and hold the infants on their long roads to recovery. The next day, you will travel to the community of Malindi where you will lend a hand in several light construction projects to better enable the Child Development Centers in this poor community to minster to children. At the same Centers, you will help your team coordinate a vacation bible school for the children attending these amazing projects. You will spend time with the children at the projects, sharing with them the love of Christ manifest through playing and personal attention. On Sunday, you and your team will attend an African church where you will worship and minister to fellow Kenyan believers. Near the end of the week you will spend some time at a beach and then shop in the open markets to find a Kenyan treasure.

DATE: June 5-16, 2010
COST: $3,095
APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 26, 2010. The application must be faxed to Mission of Mercy, at (719)-481-4649 by Feb. 26 at noon or postmarked before February 24 along with a $500 deposit to be considered. Be sure to hurry as this trip is limited to 40 people from each city and the application period will close when the trip reaches capacity!
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
$ 500 Due with application on February 26
$ 1000 Due by March 29
$ 750 Due by April 25
$ 845 Due by May 18- Includes: all meals, accommodations, travel from Rapid City, and gratuities
- Excludes: meals in transit to and from Nairobi, souvenirs, and elective entertainment
ORIENTATION: April 25, 2:00pm at Destiny Four Square Church 1001 E. Philadelphia St. in Rapid City. Attendance is required for all travelers unless you have talked with Mission of Mercy staff. You will receive your travel book and other vital information - Don't miss it!
ACCOMODATIONS: TBD
AGE LIMIT: 14-18 years of age if accompanied by a legal guardian.
PLEASE NOTE: Valid US passport is required for travel. The traveler is responsible for seeking medical advice concerning updating your immunizations. Further information on preparing for the trip will be provided following approval of each traveler's application.
