WGRC Mission Trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

 Welcome to the official web page for participants of the WGRC Radio mission trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. You will be experiencing this incredible opportunity with 39 other individuals. We are grateful for your desire to share Christ's love by providing labor skills and ministry to benefit the children in Addis Ababa. The project will include repairing and renovating the existing facility, including construction of new classrooms. There will also be an opportunity for you to participate in VBS and spend valuable time interacting with the children. WGRC Radio and Mission of Mercy are in partnership to make this the most memorable and fruitful experience possible.
Please add this to your favorites and refer to it periodically. We will update the content of this page as new information becomes available. This will keep you up-to-date and nearly eliminate the need to call the Mission of Mercy office. COST: $3,100
APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 15, 2008. The application must be received, along with a $500 deposit, at the Mission of Mercy office (see address on bottom of the application) by noon on Wednesday, April 15. This trip is limited to 40 people; therefore, applications may close earlier if the trip reaches capacity. We suggest that you submit your application and deposit as soon as possible.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
$ 500 Due with application.
$ 1,300 Due by May 15, 2008
$ 1,300 Final payment due by June 13, 2008
Inclusions: all meals, accommodations, travel from Philadelphia, gratuities, and necessary Visas.
Exclusions: meals in transit to and from Ethiopia, passports.

DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL INFORMATION:
August 3: 6:00 p.m. EST Depart Philadelphia to Frankfurt
August 4: 8:00 p.m. local time Arrive Addis Ababa from Frankfurt
August 11: 10:00 p.m. local time Depart Addis Ababa to Frankfurt
August 12: 4:20 p.m. EST Arrive in Philadelphia from Frankfurt
PLEASE NOTE:- Valid US Passport is required for travel.
- Original passport will need to be submitted with final payment to allow processing of required Visa.
- Forms will be provided for each participant to complete and return to us for processing.
- Due to the nature of the project, useful tools to bring include: masonry supplies and tools, hammers, shovels, and general construction equipment.
AGE LIMIT: 14 years of age and up (14-18 years of age by February 28, 2008 must be accompanied by legal guardian).
