General Purpose/Summary Statement
This position serves the entire organization for the purpose of coordinating the design, content and functionality of the Mission of Mercy website
Duties/Responsibilities

Oversee the creative development of the corporate website graphics using web design and marketing best practices and principles.
|
 |
Oversee and manage the creation and regular updates of editorial content that is timely, clear, compelling, informative, and accurate.
|
 |
Balances competing interests within the organization for prime real estate on the web.
|
 |
Creates rules and standards for web content.
|
 |
Partners with IT/web hosting service to assess and address technical challenges with content display.
|
 |
Manages projects from inception through completion, to include project plan development, presentation development, preparation of agendas, timelines, and meeting facilitation.
|
 |
Gathers, edits, and formats web content from Subject Matter Experts.
|
 |
Develops innovative on-line tools, strategies and methods to continuously improve agents use and their service to members.
|
 |
Interacts and works collaboratively with all levels of management.
|
 |
Confers with departmental managers to analyze the web technology and web resource needs of each department.
|
 |
Implements cutting edge technologies to meet marketing, customer service and overall communication goals.
|
 |
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Mission of Mercy, and faithfully upholds the ministry in prayer.

Acts as an advocate for children - raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children. |

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a combination of creative, editorial, web, technology and business management skill.
|
 |
The ability to be self-motivated in completing tasks on hand without constant supervision is a must.
|
 |
The ability to prioritize numerous tasks, adjust well to stress and willingness to meet important deadlines.
|
 |
Knowledge and experience in project management is a plus.
|
 |
Keen interest in and understanding of video and image editing tools, social networking, RSS, internet technologies including audio/video delivery methods, HTML, Javascript, Flash, and web analytics.
|
 |
An understanding of ASP.net is helpful, but not required.
|
 |
Understanding of search engine marketing.
|
 |
Must possess the ability to work well with others, handle constructive criticism, and work well under time-sensitive schedules. |
|
Education/Experience
|
 |
 |
BA degree in related field is preferred.
|
 |
Two + years of experience working on corporate web sites or comparable educational background. |
Working Environment/Physical Requirements
Office working environment, no unusual physical activities required to do the job.
