How the Food Distribution Helped the Children and Families at Matumaini C.D.C.
Greetings from Matumaini Child Development Centre in Jesus name. We are fine and thank our God for the how far he has brought us. We are going on well and we have all the reasons to thank our Lord God.
We are happy to have received the Manna Pack rice which was released from our brethren in the USA which the community and the parents of our children at the project referred it as a miracle!
The Manna Pack rice came in time when hunger had exhaustively affected every family and children were the mostly affected. In this moment, most of the people in our Malanga Sub-Location, Langobaya Location Malindi District, depended on relief food and Maungu (caterpillars which are eaten) for food. Children and women were always seen in the bushes looking for these caterpillars so as to go and prepare them for food. Therefore Manna Pack rice was a miracle to the whole community
The children liked the Manna so much and filled the gap which would almost cause starvation as hope for harvest was very low. Children enjoyed the food and improved their health. The Manna Pack rice was intended for the children under Mission of Mercy but we thank God that through them other children and the parents also got something to eat.
In one of the families from our project a sponsored child from Charo says "we are used to going to bed without taking food, but since I started being given food, I eat and satisfied with my brothers and sisters and even my father and mother.) This revealed us how important and of great help Manna Pack rice was to our children and the families at large as hunger was engulfing our community. Karembo is now in kindergarten class, active and in good heath since the introduction of Manna pack rice.
We want to give our thanks to Mission of Mercy for the mercies they have to our children and their families which has improved many things in the families of our community. This is because due to the food, children have been active in classes and improved in their performance. At the same time to the parents with sponsored children have at least been able to do cultivation as this food helped them to cater for the immediate food demands to their children.
We pray in Jesus name that God may bless Mission of Mercy and the different sponsors who are feeding his forgotten and starving children in our country.
May our mighty good God bless you so much as the way He blessed Abraham.
Yours faithfully
