Who is Mission of Mercy?
Mission of Mercy is a Christian child sponsorship ministry helping to meet the physical and spiritual needs of hurting people in poverty-stricken areas of the world. Through emergency and support roles, children receive food, education, medical aid and hope in Jesus Christ.
Why is Mission of Mercy concerned?
Mission of Mercy is concerned about children who hurt because they not only believe in the words of Jesus, but desire to obey them in bringing Life to others, (see Matthew 28).
When was Mission of Mercy founded?
Mission of Mercy was founded in 1954 by the late Dr. Mark Buntain, in Calcutta, India. There, he and his wife Huldah, built one of the largest and most successful inner-city outreaches.
What is Mission of Mercy's source of funding?
Mission of Mercy is supported in prayer and finances by individuals, businesses, churches and organizations who believe that true change can begin only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Mission of Mercy is accountable to friends of the ministry, and the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (since 1982).
Where is Mission of Mercy in the world?
Mission of Mercy is currently working in 21 countries on four continents, many of which are considered low income and developing. Child sponsorship programs operate in 19 of those countries.
