Mission of Mercy History
The vision of Mission of Mercy goes back to 1954 when missionaries Mark and Huldah Buntain arrived in Kolkatta (Calcutta), India to serve one year among the poor and needy. Mark served for 35 years until his death in 1989.

Mission of Mercy was incorporated in 1982. In January 1990, Mission of Mercy merged with Bethesda Ministries, Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a division of Bethesda Ministries, Mission of Mercy's ministry focus began to expand to other countries. Today Mission of Mercy is working in 18 impoverished nations of the world, providing help and hope to more than 40,000 children through child sponsorship.
